The growth has a firm core with a soft or fluid outer layer? It seams like part of this growth burst or ruptured when it was being moved around for an exam and he run a high fever for about 6 hours then it went away and he is fine but still has the firm growth but not the fluid around it but it refills it's self after a few weeks. This also happened when the vet took a needle sample of it.
