How large is it?

The logical step is for the vet to try to aspirate it and use a ferret knowledgable pathologist.

That way if it is a node the biopsy of the contents may give the info needed.

If it is a cyst that will be discovered.

If it is an abcess that will be found out.

It sounds like an aspirate was already taken. Did the vet decide that it was a cyst and no biopsy was needed? If so, it will need draining now and then. If the vet didn't think it was a cyst what where the results of the pathology testing on the aspirate?

It would help if you would get those results and transcribe them (attachments do not work) to the FHL.

It would also help if you would identify the ferrets by name so we know which of the ferrets with neck growths you mean with each post, and give basic details on the ferrets like age, general health, medical history, etc.
