Thank you for your reply. The part that really drove this home to me was how her
little arm turned purple around the iv bandaging. It was a very deep purple that
spread over the first 24 hours.

Well, it has 3 days now since she was diagnosed with dic. She is still hanging in
there and showing signs of improvement. She is slowly becoming more active. Still
eating well. No new bruising has appeared. Another blood panel is being run on
her today while she is at the vet. I am just praying that I hear some encouraging
news.

I am so fearful that I am putting her through all this and that she could take a turn
for the worse and start bleeding from bodily orifices. She seems to have such a will
to live. I just can't bring myself to put her to sleep when she is showing signs of
recovery.

This is just breaking my heart.
