Nacho, an 8 yr. old male, started acting like he had a bug a few days ago. He basically eats the chicken baby food recipe and no kibble. We've been treating him with baytril and amoxi as well as continous feedings and fluids sub cu. When he eats he makes a noise as if you got milk up your nose. Last night we took a flashlight and looked in his mouth and he had a pinhead sized hole in the roof of his mouth and the skin around it was red. Tonight it seems a lot bigger. I'm going to give him a little carafate before the next feeding to see if it helps to coat the hole. He is acting a little better and wants to eat. He definitely has a will to live. Any ideas?? Help!
