Listening to a heart will NOT catch many cases of heart disease. X-rays will spot some but still miss ones which still look subtle and will miss hypertrophic cardiomyopathy a great number of times. There are things for which an ultrasound is the only useful way to go.
Meanwhile, has there been a CBC with Chem Panel?
