Pediapred is a Prednisolone liquid med. Unless things have changed it comes in 1 mg per ml concentration as well as in 2 mg per ml concentration, whereas someone here has run into a generic in 5 mg per ml concentration, and a compounding pharmacist can make a wide range of concentrations. As you can see, giving the ml level alone doesn't tell how much actual med is given because it says nothing about the concentration, so the concentration needs to also be given to figure out the actual amount of medication (the mg amount)
