Dr Ruth is right. A swollen vulva may be the only sign of
adrenal gland disease in some females. A CBC will not
help with the diagnosis, but it is a good way to check for
anemia that some cases of adrenal gland disease have!
Anemia is more common in cases with a swollen vulva.
If there is a swollen vulva in a spayed female, then it is either
adrenal or an ovarian remnant causing it.
Hope that helps,
Jerry Murray, DVM
