We did have complete bloodwork done with a chem panel, as we also took this as an opportunity to establish benchmarks for the future. Everything there came back completely normal.

I will definitely mention the cardio issue -- I thought of that right away, but since he had just had a check up a few months previous and was healthy wasn't sure it was that. I'm still not sure but my vet and I decided to contact our various resources and put our heads together afterwards, so I will include this.
