Hi, Amy, and everyone else,

That doesn't mean anything. Pertwee's only symptom
was weight loss until right before his surgery. He
had a large adrenal carcinoma and a second one after
that. Romana never lost any hair. Her only symptom
was a swollen vulva. There have been ferrets in our
local club who went in for a different surgery (i.e.:
insulinoma) and an adrenal tumor was discovered when
the vet opened the ferret up. We're talking adrenal
disease with no symptoms at all.

You may want to consider a Tennessee Panel to rule in
or out adrenal disease. Of course, sometimes that has
inconclusive results too.

All the best,
Caity and the non-stp six
