My 5 year old (Chipper) has started showing signs of insulinoma over the last week. I'm most concerned about the weight loss right now. As soon as I noticed the signs I went from a baby food snack a day to several full meals a day. he eats it fine and is maintaining. We have an appointment with the vet today and I will get a blood test. My problem is that I need a vet in the Scott AFB, IL/St Louis area that can do the appropriate surgery. I trust my vet for diagnosis and treatment but I'm not sure about surgery. Also, what is the success rate and how concerned do I need to be about the adrenal glands at the same time?
