One of our vets doesn't like to give vaccines to our older ferrets every
year. She has also said that it can build up in their systems plus she
feels that they are more likely to have a reaction as they get older.
Our oldest, Weasel (6 1/2 yrs) has only had 1 distemper in the last 3
yrs and his rabies will average about the same. She decided to go ahead
and give him these simply because we take the babies outside some and
this increases their chances of being exposed.
Hope this helps,
Jane
