Dog food is okay for a few treats, but that is it.
It lacks taurine, doesn't have enough protein, has the wrong amounts of fats, etc. It's actually bad for ferrets as a primary food. Ditto table scraps. This diet is accidently setting your ferret up for medical problems.
There are MANY ferret foods available, some of them very good, and some good quality kitten foods can do, too.
