I would check for fungal infection, esp cryptococcosis. You can do cytology
and titer or even a biospy. Rule it out I have seen these types of
infection get missed and antibiotics don't clear them. It is possible the
bacteria is a secondary infection and if it goes to long you might not be
able to treat. Just a thought.
