I have several fuzzies showing signs of ulcers. So off to the vet, and I
asked for Biaxin instead of the old Flagyl treatment. I've used it before.
When he called around to see who had some on hand a Walgreen's said they had
some that was half strength. When I picked it up I asked to take it home dry
so I can make up half of it and not waste the rest after the 14 days are up.
Is this indeed half strength? It is 125 mg per 5 ml when reconstituted. Dose
is 1 cc. once a day. Is this the correct dose for this, and what are the
current recommendations for the other parts of this cure, the Pepcid,
amoxicillin, Carafate?
Thanks, I hope this takes care of the problem. I just lost Shadow to a
perforated ulcer. I hadn't noticed any real signs of illness. She was just
depressed, or so I thought.
