How about Benazapril? This is what we use for kidney problems and heart
disease when the kidney's are compromised. I believe the smallest dose tab
is 10mg ( I would need to check) and cats get 1/2 tab, so I would start a
ferret at 1/8 tab once everyday or every other day and if he does okay with
it you can increase to 1/4 tab. Am;odipine would be hard to dose since it
would be 1/8 to 1/16 tablet of a 2.5mg tablet and it is hard enough to get
it in 1/4's. I just don't think by itself it would be effective enough.
Wosre case scenario digoxin can also be used it just needs to be monitored
very closely. Good Luck and hope this helps.
