Unlike Hilbert who had sludge that sadly washed away and could not be analyzed Mornie turned out to have what a tech at the hospital called "one big honking stone". This is good thing. It means that the stone can be checked to see what type it is and that will allow the proper response.

I also have a cranberry question.

I KNOW for sure that cranberry drinks and dried cranberries which are chewy retain the specific form of tannins which stop bacteria from being able to stick to the sides of the bladder, but does cranberry powder? I am seeking actual references, rather than promotional materials.

The reason I ask is because I read quite some time ago that in tests of blueberries and cranberries that the cooked products have lowered levels of these tannins, and I vaguely recall from some stuff on removal of other tannins from acorns for making acorn flour and for using the tannins for leather processing that cooking and drying were used to remove tannins.

I'll seek, too, but for now until I know more I honestly have the concern that the powder MIGHT be only minimally useful, but hopefully that is a worry without foundation. I simply don't know at this point so am taking the most cautious route and sticking to what I know works and they like.
