So, I guess what I am saying is that *I THINK* that generally it's been
thought that amino acids are going to be safe if there aren't manufacturing or
storage errors or if things are not given way out of balance, BUT life has its
surprises (though surprises usually are more rare which is why they are surprises
in the first place).
--- Doesn't it though? I remember when I had an iquana in the eighties. I
thought okay, it should have nothing but vegies and fruits. But then the pet
store owner who had huge, fat, healthy pet iguanas told me no, you need to add
a spoon full of high protein soft dog food (expensive kinds) because in nature
those iguana's consume a small portion of protein on the leaves of
vegetation. Now that's something most people wouldn't consider. I changed the diet and
wella ... a glowing iguana. Of course now a days that diet might be
considered all wrong. My point is the surprise.
Testing the Bi-Odor with an aquarium ph kit was a brilliant idea. It
would be curious to see what the results would be. Dr. Sue of course was more on
target with testing urine with and without usage of the product. I tend to
doubt the baking soda itself would alter anything though being that it may or
may not be in there. If that is the case, surely the amount when present is
miniscule. But who knows. And who knows what if any changes the other
ingredients might make.
I'm still waiting to hear from anyone who has their ferrets on an almost
meat diet rather than kibble. I"m curious if they have experience with ferrets
on kibble as well, or been exposed to those who have been on kibble for
comparison. I'm curious if that natural meat diet makes the feces less odorous,
and the ferret less smelly. Maybe I'm way off base, but I was wondering because
if Bi-Odors mechanism of action is by way of amino acids .... well see what
I"m saying?
