I am curious to read the replies to this one!

Our Boo hardly ever makes any noise. Unless one of the other ferrets has
her scruffed and pinned to the floor, she is basically silent. Always has
been.

Squeaky toys and toys that make noise (we have a few that "talk" when motion
activated or moved) typically get lots of vocal responses from our 3 others.
Not Boo. Her hearing is fine, she is just the quiet type, I suppose. All 4
will dook, but only Boo is known not to make any type of chatter. The only
time I have ever heard her make a sound is when she is pinned down by the
scruff of her neck by a cage mate. Even then, she barely even lets out a
small squeak.
