We started to feed A/D food to one of our fur balls as a
supplement to get her back on her feet after surgery. As she gained
stamina, we started to mix it with softened Marshal food, and once that
took place, the rest of our ferrets wanted in on it. We asked our Vet
about it and he didn't see any problem with it at all. As I understand it
A/D food is highly fortified with vitamins, and more of the meat protein,
which is a real plus given a Ferrets digestive tract. The fact that we
mix it with softened kibble does have it's draw backs, as more mess in
the litter box. Our seven ferrets seem to do very well with this regiment
added to their diet, and it gives us the peace of mind that they are
getting at one very healthy meal a day. We haven't noticed alot of weight
gain from this, although our little ones seem to have alot more energy
and their coats look beautiful. As I stated, our Vet. doesn't see any
problems, and in fact he let us buy it by the case from them. Rick
