You know I would keep up with the original protocol and use the insulin
along with the pred just adjust the insulin to the pred dose. You can wean
off the insulin if possible once the treatment regimen changes. It is not
in my opinion worth sacraficing one condition for the sake of another, you
have to manage them together if you can so that both can be treated and give
your kid the best possible chance. Good Luck to you.
