Thought I would chime in with the possibility of common worms too. I would
definitely get a fecal (or just drop off a sample) to be on the safe side.

Thought I would echo what everyone else has said. Meats and meat-based baby
food make excellent treats. Should your ferret become ill later on in life,
it helps to have one with an acquired taste of such foods. Fruits cannot be
digested, and can cost you the life of your pet from blockages. Not to
mention, baby food costs a lot less than a bag of ferret treats...lol.

I started ordering my ferret food online because local pet stores only
carried the Ultimate (with fruit) or Marshall's (smell factor) brands. I
found it was actually a lot cheaper than the local pet shops and delivered
right to my door!
