A/D is a prescription diet used for recovery from illness, etc. It's not something you want to give as a regular diet. If you think cat food is expensive, this one is even more so.
By the way, cat food is not great food for your ferrets. There probably isn't anything less expensive without getting a food that is worthless to them. They should at least be on a good quality kitten food (Eukanuba, IAMS), rather than cat food. Of course a quality ferret specific food would even be better.
