Have a ferret vet decide if he is thin or not. Like humans, ferrets vary a LOT in what is natural for a given individual in terms of size in so many ways (small boned/ gracile, large boned/robust, thin, heavy, athletic, small, large... but the genotype can be and IS impacted by environment and health so the form which appears may be the one natural to the kit or could reflect being out-competed for food, having a dental eruption problem, being ill, etc.).

Besides, he'll need his follow-up shots (2 more canine distemper shots, carefully timed, and one rabies shot also carefully timed, general exam, etc.).

Too fat can be every bit as bad as too thin healthwise, BTW.
