Hi. My boy Daisy (don't ask) is about 5 or 6 and has been losing hair for
close on a year now. He is my first ferret (someone gave him to me), so since he
seemed (still does) perfectly fine I thought flea allergy. Gave him Advantage.
Still do. The cat too. Well, then the bald spots looked like ringworm so I
took him to my local vet. He tested positive for ringworm and got a series of
lyme dips. Ringworm is gone but baldness is still here. Vet said most likely
onset of adrenal disease. I read up on this and it's got me really unsure of what
to do. (Choice is very limited. Can't afford surgery.) My vet, who says he
has performed quite a few adrenal surgeries, suggested "benign neglect". I don't
know what to think at this point. Daisy is active and happy. What can I
expect in the future, healthwise, for my little guy? Thanks! Lori
