Hi, I am new to the group and are looking forward to learning more about ferret health issues. I have been owned by ferrets for almost 2 years now. I have 8 ferrets and have opened my home to giving ferrets that are in need a home.
I have had some health issues with one of my ferrets and I am not sure what to do. I have taken her to the vet several times and just recently we did find a blockage, but she was able to pass it. She is one antibiotics right now, Albon. She is under weight and I am having a hard time getting her to gain weight back. She weighs only 1.7 and really should weigh 2.0. She is eating her kibble and I have been force feeding her 4 cc of duck soup mixed with ensure to help ( this is once a day) She acts like she is feeling better but still a boney thing. Does any one have any suggestions on what to do and why she is like this.
