Well, I'm only going off of what he said to me. I didn't think it would be fatal for him
to have an operation. But i will say that he probably hasn't done many eye removals
on ferrets, seeing as in this area, I am one of VERY few people that own them. I am
thinking that he might be better off with the removal, seeing as he only sleeps and
eats now. he's lost almost all his playfulness, and just plainly doesn't seem happy
anymore. it's almost like an annoyance when you go near his head to pet him...and
the whole chewing issue on my carpets tells me that there's some kind of possible
tension in his jaw/head that he is trying to relieve. is there any kind of meds that i
can give him that might make him feel a little better? childrens tylenol perhaps?
(very small quantity of course) i am however only studying to be a vet assistant, so i
will not try to medicate him on my own suspicions..
Is there any sites where it shows a sucessful removal of a ferrets eyes?
If need be, I can take pictures with my digital and email them to those that are
interested in helping me figure out what the best rout(s) would be.

Thanks again.

[Moderator's Note: Tylenol is rapidly fatal for ferrets due to liver damage.]
