I'm not clear to which of the earlier posts you are responding, but if the vet diagnosed gastroenteritis (inflammation of the lining of the stomach and intestines) this is a broad category, so the vet may or may not have suspected eosinophyllic gastroenteritis, which is a subset of that broader category.
