I believe you all are right, it is hair! Thanks so much everyone for being there for me. Sorry for being a bother, but this is only my second ferret surgery and Harley's hair still hasn't grown in on his butt from the first surgery in April (Marshall Ferret, tattooed as neutered and descented but lo and behold he still had anal sacs, one of which got impacted and ruptured, so both were removed), so I have no experience with hair coming in.
