Sorry to hear that your little guy is having such a hard time. You may wan=
t to ask your vet to have a culture done on his urine to make sure that the=
antibiotic is the correct one for his infection. I had a great deal of ex=
perience with urinary infection in a male ferret with adrenal disease. Mer=
lin's never entirely went away and he was on Baytril for the last several m=
onths of his life. It successfully controlled the infection, but never ful=
ly cleared it up. I am guessing that trying to battle the infection and rec=
over for surgery is alot for your boy to handle, making him feel poorly. I=
hope he feels better soon.
