Hello everyone,
I've just received the results of the Tennessee Panel test done on my
little miss Fria on Sunday. It came back positive for Adrenal Disease.
We are now preparing for surgery. Quite honestly, I'm scared to death, as
this is our first surgery, but I know it's what needs to be done for her
sake. She's having trouble urinating because of the swelling in her vulva.
I just don't know what to expect when she comes home. We're planning on
keeping her in a cage during recovery, to prevent any roughhousing that
could harm her stitches.
I was hoping that some of you might have some post-op tips for me, to keep
her comfortable and as happy as possible, as well as how to keep the
recovery going smoothly. I want to do everything possible to make sure we
avoid infection, torn stitches, etc. My vet will be going over this with
me as well, but I thought some of you may have suggestions for me that he
may not think of.
Thank you,
Jen
