The three drugs our vet uses post-op that have worked wonders for recovery
are:
Reglan .1cc SQ
Pred .1cc IM
Torbutrol (sp?) .1cc SQ
One helps to prevent nausea (Reglan, I think).
Torb for pain

Hi everyone,
Harley is doing ok. I had to take him back to the vet on Monday as his head
was starting to swell next to the incision. The vet drained it and put a
drainage thing in and a cone on his head. What a pitiful site a ferret with a cone
on his head. Harley is also on amoxi now as it was starting to get infected. I
had to have my friend come over on friday night and give him some sub q
fluids as he was getting dehydrated. He isnt eating reg ferret food yet but he is
eating baby food like its going out of style now. I have been giving him
ferretvite and or ferretone.
