This sounds just like our Anton. The first part of June he was having the same problems. He would drag himself over to eat and drink and then to poop and urinate. However, he spent the rest of the time asleep, running a high fever. I took him to the vet, were he was exrayed and had a complete blood profile done. The only thing out-of-the ordinary was that his white cell count was just a little high. He was on antibiotic for 2 weeks and took 1/4 baby asprin to help keep the fever down. In all, he was sick for 3 weeks. He did loose some weight but never got dehydrated. During the 4th week he started trying to play again. He still spent a lot of time sleeping. He is now back to normal. I have seen several listings of people with ferrets having these same problems and their vets can not figure out just what is wrong. Please keep us posted on how it goes.

His symtpoms are: lethargic, wants to fall asleep wherever he happens to be, eyes that look very "tired", hind limb weakness (like his legs aren't stong enough to lift his belly all the way off the floor) and he feels warm though I don't know if he has a fever. I suspect he does.
