I am curious to hear from those who have a ferret with severe IBD -- by
severe meaning the level where Imuran or injected steroids can make a
difference but not a complete turn-around while standard oral steroids
don't touch it or barely touch it. We've had two in that category (one
deceased and one here) and both after having their intestinal problems
for a while developed fast forming, profuse dark ear wax but did not
have ear infections and did not have mites. Two ferrets means nothing,
though, so I am curious to see posts from those with ferrets who have
really bad IBD about what the ear wax is like in those individuals,
whether normal, less than normal, or something like what each of these
boys had or has. It's probably a coincidence, and I cna't think of any
reason that the two should go together, but each time I clean his ears
I get curious and tell myself that I keep meaning to ask...
