Are there any reasons not to use Frontline, Advantage or Revolution on ferrets with Eosinophilic Enteritis and/or IBD?
Also, what would be safe to use outside? The yard is sand and gravel and is frequented by ground squirrels, prairie dogs, rabbits, etc. I don't want to use anything that could harm the ferrets (by bringing it on shoes or clothing) or the outdoor critters.
Btw, I don't think the outside critters brought the fleas with them because we haven't had any (almost seven years) until now. I believe recent weather conditions (unusual rainfall and warmer temps) and maybe even our next door neighbor's new grass lawn have played a major role. At least I hope it wasn't the critters. Though I guess it doesn't matter now that they have been exposed. Thankfully there has never been a reported case of Bubonic Plague in our area.
