Some say they have had to increase the dose after a period of time so that it continues to be effective. I have not personally seen this, but mine get a little more than 100 mcg. 100 mcg is probably the dose that most vets use or start with, so I'd say yes, you probably need to bump the dose up and see if that helps. You could double, triple or even quadruple that dose without any problems... except cost.
