Yeah, with my girl I wore the first few syringe doses of Carafate, and
the mix-it-with-Nupro-in-a-spoon trick only worked for the next day or
so... then she let me pour it into her mouth off the spoon for a day
or so... and now my two options seem to be: 1. scruff her and force
feed it (we both end up wearing it and she gets really stressed) and
2. Mix with a teaspoon of her chicken/tuna soup (which was the only
thing I could get her to take the metronidazole with too)...
Thank god she likes her soup so much! I know it's not ideal to mix the
carafate with food, but I figure a tsp of food is better than
stressing her into a spitting, kicking fit.
If nothing else, I figure if she's that stubborn about medicine, she's
probably too stubborn to let an ulcer keep her down too! ;-)
