We brought snoopy home friday and she was acting and looking very healthy, she played and danced more then ive seen from her in months, she was eating and drinking as much as ever and sleeping well on friday and saturday.
On sunday she seemed okay in the morning but at about ten pm i fed her then she walked around abit and started stairing at the wall and her head was slowly bobing up and down, after about 10 minutes of no improvement i rushed her to the overnite emergeny(luckily a vet that takes ferrets was on duty) well she looked at her and said she felt hot, so they were gonn put her on fluids and bring her temp down overnite.
I picked snoopy up this morning and she was doing well her 106 degree fever went down to 100.9 and was on the road to rehydration.

Heres her treatment sheet:
alcohal bath
12 am small amount of mucoid diarrea
1 am temp. 105.1 antibiotic injection
3 am temp 104.1 +urine/+mucoid diarrrea
iv cath patent
5 am temp 101.5 +urine/+- bm
iv cath patent
6.40 am temp 100.9 iv cath paten 2cc per hr
resting quietly-appears more allert ans is moving around cage more

HERES THE TESTS SHE HAD THERE AT THE EMERGENY CLINIC

alt = 46.u/l LOW 82. - 289.
bun = 11.6 mg/dl 10.0 - 45.0
crea = 0.5 mg/dl 0.4 - 0.9
glu = 189. mg/dl 94. - 207.

at 7 to 8 am i brought her home , she ate alot of food and had a tablespoon of nutrical then ran around the house playing with her brother dopy, basically seemed as well as the first day we brought her home.
at 8 am i took her to her vet for follow up and she gonna be there till 5 pm in an incubator for observation. The vet says she doesnt show any kidney problems from the tests and thinks its a infection or a virus!

we are hoping some doctors can give some opinions to what else can possibly be causing this and if theres any other treatment that can help.( im fearing some type of cancer, but hoping its due to the adrenal disease in some way)
the vet is gonna show us how to give fluid injection at home, we would also like to know what we can do to bring her fever down if this happens again since the emergency clinic only will take ferrets if a ferret vet is on duty.

thanks,
lori and bob
