Some causes of swollen nipples in ferrets:
adrenal neoplasia
pregnancy
mechanical irritation
allergic irritation
When just one is involved there are some other things to look at from
mastitis to epicrine tumors and more, and you'll find that those can be
found easily in the posts in the FHL Archives at
http://fhl.sonic-weasel.org (
Note that the Archives are kept in a location separate from the list so
that at least one is almost always available, and all past posts can be
included.)
Examples:
http://fhl.sonic-weasel.org/browse.php?msg=SG448
and
http://fhl.sonic-weasel.org/browse.php?msg=SG427
and
http://fhl.sonic-weasel.org/browse.php?msg=SG170
and
http://fhl.sonic-weasel.org/browse.php?msg=YG10788
and
http://fhl.sonic-weasel.org/browse.php?msg=YG9111
are good ones to start with, but there are more.
