The Atlanta shelter, Ferret Business of GA, has received 17 whole ferrets -- 10 males, and 7 females from the Mooreshouse University. These ferrets are all between the ages of 3 and 6 years old, and are very stressed right now. This is a huge undertaking for our shelter because most ferret that are turned in are fixed. We have a vet that seems willing to help us, but they have never done a ferret before. If someone could tell us what the difference a vet would experience in comparison to them doing a cat (they are very experience with cat and dog fixing)??? We know that ferrets are much smaller than cats, but how much more complicated it is??
Thanks,
Florence
