I'd posted a couple of months ago about my overweight ferret Fritz. I just =
wanted to update you and make sure this is in the archives.

Fritz has been diagnosed as adrenal. His bloodwork was fine, X-rays were fi=
ne (except for two suspicious areas around the adrenals), examinations reve=
aled nothing remarkable. He was over 4 lbs. about six weeks ago at a vet vi=
sit, and was down to 3 lbs. 12 oz. at a visit two weeks ago.

He is now showing signs of classic adrenal hair loss. He is lethargic. Fat =
deposits make him look pear-shaped. The vet determined he must just be the =
type of ferret that the hormones affects by weight gain. He is scheduled to=
go in for surgery on Monday.

Thanks to everyone for all your help in trying to determine why Fritz is so=
heavy. A special thanks to Dr. Jerry Murray for pointing out that adrenal =
was a possibility.
