I one that I "liked" the most was with a shot in the tummy. I held Mojo
while he got the shot and talked to him as he gently went to sleep. The
first ferret we had to euthanasia was traumatic and scarey due to how it
was handled but now that I have seen both, the shot in the tummey is the
easiest.
