I use an IM injection of a very small amount of anesthesia given with an
insulin syringe so very small needle then we give the second IV. This works
really well the owner holds for this and once the ferret is totally out of
it we finish it with no pain. It is very smooth and peaceful. I do dogs and
cats the same way. Hope this helps.
