If it is up high between the rib cage it could be the cartilage tip that
comes off and some of these are far mor prominent then others, it is known
as the Xiphoid Process and I have seen some curved out and far more
prominent in some ferrets, and it is nothing to worry about. THe umbilicu is
lower then this. Hope this helps.
