We recently had Giardia in our household. All 4 ferrets were infected, although it was only george that showed outward symptoms. None of the others even acted sick. So first, I would suggest you take a poop sample to your vet from all ferrets to get them all tested.
Next, did you disinfect the house? Giardia lives outside of the body for a while. When we got home, we spent two days bleaching everything, from the floors to the bedding they slept on, to the walls, everything. It's quite an undertaking, but we have been lucky so far with no reoccurances.
Leave no corner untouched in your cleaning. Wipe down the legs of the dinning room table, the shelves of the bookcare (because you know they get up there when you're not looking). We even disinfected the couch, cat litter boxes, (not the cats) food dishes, water bottles, etc... (I think you get the point)
Let me know how it goes.

A few weeks ago I took him to the vet with a prolapsed rectum, the vet put in a pursestring suture and sent us home with panacur and amoxi-drops to treat a giardia infection. For a short time he seemed to be better, but now he is having a lot of diarrea again. I have tried another run of the panacur treatment but it does not seem to be helping. I have 3 other ferrets and 2 cats, none of them are showing any signs of illness. My animals are all kept inside, so I have no idea how this guy could have picked up the giardia. Could this be something else? Any suggestions to help this little guy would be greatly appreciated.
