I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I adopted 3 ferrets (ages 1-2 yrs) about
3 wks ago. They were only at the shelter for about 2 weeks, and there they were on
Totally Ferret. (I dont know what they ate prior to being at the shelter). So I
continued on TF and added in some Natural Gold and Sheppard & Greene food (only
very small amounts to start them off). All 3 had loose poops, I thought it would get
better but after a week, it didnt, so I put them back on Totally Ferret only. For the
most part now, they all get diarrhia or if its not that, its very loose and birdseedy.
They dont get any fruit or dairy. Treats they get are meat or Ferretbites or Ferretone,
and I've taken out treats for a few days, so I know its not the treats causing it. How
long is it suppossed to take for their systems to get used to a food? Should I
consider switching them off of TF? Any advice would be helpful and much
appreciated.
