I'm with Mike on this. Our vet would check a few days
out and about a week later -- sooner if there were
Addisonian symptoms. I should point out that our vet
no longer uses cryo (freezing) but rather fully
removed the right with conventional surgery and
ligates the vena cava. There is no residual tissue
from the right this way. That pretty much guarantees
the need to replace adrenal products for the rest of
the ferret's life.

Still... I'd check. There is no harm in doing so.

The symptoms of (in this case surgically induced)
Addison's Disease are loss of appetite, lethargy, and
as it starts to get worse there will be shivering and
a drop in body temperature. If you see that get your
little one to the vet quickly and get electrolytes
checked.

The usual disclaimer applies: I'm not a vet, just a
moderately experienced ferret owner who has seen an
Addisonian Crisis. I don't want anyone else to see
one.

All the best,
Caity and the fantastic four
