Subject: fluid buildup - was : metastasized adrenal carcinomas

Bear gained about 100 g over in the last day (from 1350 the night
before to 1450 last night). we doubled his dose of furosamide to
0.24cc and he seemed to have maintained his weight till this morning.
I know at this point there's not a whole lot I can do for him.
my vet mentioned "taping?" the fluids from his abdomen, although
apparently the build up can come back within a day. just wondering
if anybody has experience with this and if its something that can
be done at home as well (I'm not sure what you actually do).

Bear's still eating, drinking, peeing, and pooping. he looked
rather than act uncomfortable. his max weight before his adrenal
surgery was 1600g or so, although that weight is gained a lot more
slowly.

the carboplatin helped him for a few days. I wonder, in the
case of adrenal carcinomas, would getting the chemo post removal
of the tumours help?

thank you for any help or suggestions you can give.

Selina
