Selina, Ashling had metastasized carcinoma which apparently began from a kidney. Everyone we asked, from our vet through the vets and other experienced folks here through consultants said the same thing, all boiling down to " the only thing that works for carcinoma is to excise it all but that often isn't possible so just keep her comfy and make what time she has the best it can be". We were lucky because she got what we were told was a lot of time for it: 3 months, and they were among the most spoiling three months in ferret-history, I think. I'm glad people let us know that because since that was all that we could do for her I'm glad we knew it so that we could do it.

I'm sorry that I don't have something more encouraging to impart.
