Depends on the ferret.

It's certainly not ideal, but we have one who loves it as an ocassional treat, but also have a couple of others who get badly upset tums from it (both of whom perhaps by coincidence also get such problems from heavy cream so they may just be more personally inclined toward gastric and intestinal sensitivity to harder to digest foods).

Years ago we had one who had cardiomyopathy with her heart large enough to impinge on her esophagus and her diet was watery homemade meat soup and Sustical, given separately, and those worked well for her in her final weeks, and Ensure has helped us get meds into some (but always ask the providing pharmacist beforehand what a med can be safely given with because some meds should not be exposed to water and some meds should not be given in oils).
