The chance of ferrets being affected by the salmonella bacteria is
virtually nil but I suppose not impossible. I suppose a kibble fed
ferret suddenly being given bad meat might become ill but I don't
believe US ferrets are little soft imitations of our UK ferrets. I've
been feeding road kill to ferrets for a very long time and some of it
not very fresh with out any problems. My dogs will dig up things they
buried weeks ago and the ferrets fight them for it. Today the ferrets
are fighting over part of a rabbit that was killed before Christmas, it
smells a bit but they prefer it to their kibble. Tomorrow its going to
be raw chicken my local shop said was too old to sell for human
consumption. Chris.
